TechAngels partnered with BusinessPedia to support the first edition of BusinessPedia Connect @ BNR – “Who Takes Romania Forward?”, taking place on 15 September 2026, at the Palace of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest.

BusinessPedia Connect brings together two generations of entrepreneurs and business leaders for a conversation about what Romania has built over the past 35 years and what will be needed for the next 35. The program looks at themes that are highly relevant to the TechAngels community: trust, access to capital and investment, the relationship between Romanian and international capital, company financing and the role of strong institutions. It will also explore the entrepreneurs, companies and leaders that shaped Romania after 1989, before turning the conversation towards what comes next.

That next chapter includes founders building from zero, entrepreneurs scaling internationally, new generations taking over and transforming family businesses, and leaders creating organizations able to grow beyond their founders.

For TechAngels, supporting conversations like these is part of supporting a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem, one in which experience, capital and new generations of founders can meet, exchange perspectives and build further.

The event will also include the launch of “An illustrated history of businesses in Romania, from 1850 to 1948”, the third volume in the BusinessPedia collection, adding a historical perspective to the discussions about Romania’s entrepreneurial future.
