Founder FAQ
The questions founders actually ask before applying: tickets, revenue, timelines and what members bring beyond money.
How much can I raise from TechAngels members?
Typical tickets are between €10,000 and €200,000 per round. Larger rounds happen through syndication: several members investing together, sometimes alongside VC funds or other angel groups.
Do I need revenue to apply?
No, but you need at least a working prototype. Evidence of demand (users, pilots, letters of intent) significantly improves your odds.
Does TechAngels invest as a fund?
No. TechAngels is an association of individual angel investors. The organization curates deal flow and screening; each member decides independently whether to invest their own money.
How long does the process take?
It depends on your readiness and on member interest. Screening is fast; analysis, matching, due diligence and legal work take longer. Founders with a complete data room move fastest.
What do members bring besides money?
Operating experience, board practice, hiring help and introductions to customers, partners and follow-on investors; most members are current or former tech founders and executives.
My startup isn't incorporated in Romania. Can I still apply?
Yes; members invest in startups from Romania and the wider South-Eastern Europe region, and in Romanian founders incorporated abroad.
